God's Marvelous Gift

Life is not always a bed of roses
In my experience, it is full of surprises
You'll win some and you'll lose some.
Be prepared, be strong, and be resilient
Because when test strikes, it hurts like a spike.

People can be wicked at times
Exercise forgiveness and don't hold a Grudge
Because even in Grandeur times
You will experience Grief and disbelief
Hold on and have a tight Grip on your faith
Life GOES on and we must move on.

Exercise love not hate
Be Grateful for all the grace you receive
Express your Gratitude and appreciation
We only have one life to live
We must enjoy GOD's marvelous gift!

Rose C.

"Somewhere along the course of life
You'l learn about yourself and realize
that there should never be regrets
But a lifelong appreciation of the  choices you made.

Medicare Supplemental Insurance

My father-in-law  is turning 89 years old in  two weeks and we can tell that  his age is showing  in his capabilities of doing things around the house.  He told us one that he  fell when he tried to pick up the big container of water that he bought in the store.  My husband feel bad because Dad get frustrated when he can't do a thing right.  Hubby said that  Dad used to be very active but now it's very limited of what he can do.

Medicare Supplements is beneficial for  elderly or senior citizens  just like my father-in-law.  He saved money when  he bought the medicine he needed for his tooth and gum treatment  a couple of months ago. Having a medical supplemental insurance is  a good one to have if your Medicare  does not cover some of the things you need for your  health.  You can get information for seniors by visiting  any of the links provided in this post. The website  provides a through information on how you can get this kind of  insurance.

Pre-Schooler at Home

Our son is suppose to go to pre-school this year but he wasn't ready yet so we did not force him. I am teaching him at home instead.  Last week was our first week and he did good so far.
We only have two hours   of  session on weekdays, from 10-12.    I picked that time because that's when he is very attentive.
We only did  four days last week but this week will be a five-day week full of  fun for the two of us.
I am  happy that he is showing interest in leaqrning compared to  last year when I tried to  teach him.  He can write his name already.  There are letters that he finds it hard to write but  I am sure that in  time, he will get it.
I have a pre-school  book that I bought in  Walmart and I am slowly introducing it to him.
I am so proud of you Mr. Burrito.
I will be very busy  from now on because of my pre-schooler at home.
This is him when he is getting tired, he would say "Can I take a break please?" Lol!
With patience, he will learn the things that  he need to  learn before going to kindergarten next year.

Fun Exercise

One of the outdoor activities that our Burritos love to do is riding their big bikes. They do this almost everyday. We always bring them by the college and around the elementary and high school area when school is already close. It's a good exercise for them and they always sleep good during night time.
Meet Lizzy, our  good neighbor's cat.  She loves to  play with kids.
A sweet  gesture from my daughter.. a tiny flower picked from the yard.
Wishing you a great weekend everyone.

Feel Richer with Straight Talk

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am  intrigued with what the real customers of Straight Talk  are talking about.  Most of them  said that they feel richer with the money they save in getting Straight Talk rather than  getting a phone with contract.  Straight Talk  has everything you need for a  phone such as music player, instant messaging, vice navigation, video recorder, bluetooth and camera.  I would like to have a touch screen  phone that I could use in browsing the web every time I am away from home.  Sometimes when we are traveling or going somewhere, I  couldn't  call a friend because I don't have a phone  to use.

So my wish  is to have a phone I can use every time I need it.  Believe me, mom knows best so I gotta have one and I am determined  to  make it happen.  You'll see, I am just waiting for the  deals that both hubby and I are waiting this weekend.  If you have time, try to watch the short clip below and see how you too can save money in getting a phone without contract.  Another cool thing is that  it is free from activation or termination fees.

Fil-Am

The theme for this week at Mommy Moment is "Filipino Ako" or "I am a Filipino". I was born and raised in the Philippines and still a citizen of the country. That would make my kids Filipino-Americans or Fil-Am as they commonly call kids that are half Filipino and half American.  Thanks to Tita Dhemz for the cowboy hats!

My kids knows   some Filipino words but they can't really speak the language  well.
They were born here in the US of A but  they  still have the Filipinos in them, for one is   the fact that they love RICE hehehe.  They also love  singing some  Filipino folk song such as Leron Leron Sinta.  This is one of the videos that Ms. Burrito posted on her blog.

Oh, I must be losing my mind.  I visited the author of the meme  thinking that it is now Thursday hahaha.  Oh boy!  Oh well, early birds catches the worm right? Lol!  Have a good night everyone.

Sending my Only Child off to College well Equipped

Guest post written by Susan Holden

I knew that this day would someday come, but I'm not sure that I'm quite ready for my only child, Mark, to go off to college. But luckily, his college is only about three hours ago and he has a car there so we know that he can come home on some weekends. I also don't want to be one of those hovering parents that won't leave my kid alone and I think that I'm doing a pretty good job of it.

Right now I'm focusing on making sure that we buy all of hte essentials for him before we get him all moved in. I was online doing some last minute shopping for some things for his dorm room and while I was doing that I ran across the website clear-internet.com. After I looked through it a little bit, I decided to show it to my husbad and we changed over our home internet service to it.

We finally picked out some bedding for him that we're going to go buy. He's about as picky as I am, so we've been at it for a while. But it was important to me that he feels at home in his dorm room.

First Grader

We went to our daughter's school last Thursday and registered her in the First grade class.  Time FLIES!  We also paid the tuition Fees upon registration.  It's expensive to send your kids to private school but I like it because the   population is small so teachers, students, and parents knows each other.
My daughter's teacher wanted to  take a picture of  Ms. Burrito's face but she smiled when our daughter  posed lol.
She also included our son for the picture taking.
The artworks on the photo below were made by Ms. Burrito's class when they were in Kindergarten.
Ms. Burrito and Mrs. Gain's FIRST FOTO together.
Today was the First day of  school at St. Joe's.  I thought that I'd be okay when we sent  our daughter but when I came home, I felt nauseous once again just like the feeling I had when we first sent her to kindergarten class.  I wonder when I will get over this separation anxiety lol.

Chef Jobs

One of the new course that was added in the school where I used to work back in my country is the Hospitality Management degree. It aims to give the student an edge to   learn  the different jobs that are available in hotels and other establishment that requires the said skills such ads   Executive Chef Jobs.  According to  a friend, the said course is doing good and the school is also expanding their field of expertise in different aspects.  I wonder how  an executive chef job is like?

Exciting Magic Carpet Ride

Another exciting ride for the kids that we all tried is  the magic carpet of Aladdin.  To ignore my dizziness, I busied myself by taking  photos  of things I see while the ride was spinning and we are on  on top lol.
Since the it was a fast ride, I wasn't able to capture  the whole images, just some part of it.
The Daddies are uber sports with  all the rides hehehe.
The Mommies are in charge in documenting   all the  magic moments hehehe.
I know I have been posting all Disney World pictures and I hope that you are not getting bored hahaha.  There's a lot to see and experience out there that you can't stop yourself from taking photos.  There's a lot more to come lol

Perfect Credit for Perfect Rates

Having  a good credit  score  is a key in getting the best  rate on mortgages.  The higher your credit score is, the lower is  the  mortgage rate that you can get.  When I first came here in the States, I don't have any idea what the importance of credit score is because I never  tried dealing  with it when I was still in my country.   That's one thing that hubby    explained to me right away because in order for me to build my credit, I have to  establish it by getting a debit and credit card.

Making your transaction through credit or debit card will give you the history in which credit company will track down when they run and check your credit history.  So far, both of our credit score are  pretty good which gave us  a great deal in getting a lower rate on our mortgage.  If you want to more  about  finding the cheapest mortgage, please visit the Perfect Score  website.  They  offer informative articles on how you can find lower rates on mortgage.   You can ask  them questions  by contacting them through the link they have provided.  You can also get a quote by providing basic information through their online form.

After a good amount of walking, we rested our legs through a short river expedition called Riverboat  Landing. We saw different neat display along the river.

These two did staring competition every chance they get lol.
The short river  cruise definitely gave us our energy back.  Thanks for visiting and for leaving your thoughts.
