My husband and I agreed  that we have to prioritize raising our children first  before anything else.  That is why, I am contented of being at  home with my two burritos all the time.  We believe that the quality time we spend with them will give a good  impact on their development and well-being.  We may be lacking from material things but  we make sure to supplement  our children with our TLC.  I remember when I first  introduce my husband to my family back in the Philippines, he spend most of his time playing with my nieces and nephews.  Right there and then I knew that he would be a great father to our kids.

Partners in Crime . then and now.

The first photo was taken before we went to Korea, they both want to climb on this corner piece but they got reprimanded hehehe. The second photo was when we were in Korea, they both love to color.

The theme this week at Mommy Moments is Before and After. I actually had a little bit of hard time choosing which I should share hehehe. I came up with the partners in crime, then and now. Well, they certainly love each other, love to hug each other, love to torture/pick on each other, and sometimes love to do things together.  Now that they are growing up and has each own preferences, most of the time they  argue with each other wahhhh.

Rainy Days

Good morning everyone, how's your day going?   I just got done vacuuming the floor and now running the washing machine.  My tummy is grumbling hehehe so I have to eat something.  I made  my daughter and husband  some hamburger helper for their lunch and  I am going to eat what's left.  EJ wanted waffles so that was what he ate.  Sharing this picture that I took of him last Saturday at my FIL's back porch.  Just to make the rainy day brighter hehehe.  Have a nice day everyone!

Binoculars for your Hunting Trips

My FIl mentioned a couple of times to my husband that he wanted to go hunting. My husband like the idea so he asked him if he would be able to do some climbing and stuff to go for a hunting trip. My father-in-law said that he still strong. I think they would go when my husband is off from school together with his brother Dave. Trips like this wouldn't be complete without steiner binoculars or any kinds of binocular. I wonder if they have a binocular to use. I know that my FIL has a complete set of hunting paraphernalia but I haven't seen a binocular.

Hair Styles

One of the things that me and my daughter disagree  sometimes is combing/brushing her hair. She is very sensitive that she always think, I am pulling her hair out whenever I brushed it. One time I asked her if she wants a short hair so I won't have to deal with crying every time I brush her hair and she said she want it long. She absolutely get that from me because when I was a kid, I always want my hair long and one time mama hire someone to cut my hair very short, I cried for days lol.  The only difference of me and Rye is that I don't ask my mother to comb it for me, I id it alone.

Anyhow, here are some hair styles that I always do to her hair.  Messy pig tails, braiding it, tie the entire hair into one, or just tie half of it.

I always have a long hair ever since.  I only cut it short once as advised by the priests when I was in college.  They told me that I am so skinny with long hair and that it makes me look so mature.  But when I met hubs, he likes long hair so I grew it back lol.

Hubby love his hair like this but I love it when he cut it very short, very masculine ang dating hehehe.

Deadly Disease

When the guy whom we hired to inspect this house that we bought five years ago, he was concern about the tile that was laid in the basement. He said that it would be best if we cold do something about it. Hubby and I decided to renovate the basement and got rid of the old tiles that was there. We were worried that we might get malignant Mesothelioma from those old looking asbestos tiles. Kangaroos

Hello everyone, sorry if I wasn't able to visit your blogs today. We were a bit busy, right now, I am still trying to finish my laundry hehehe. Below are the photos of the kangaroos I took when we visited the zoo in Pittsburgh.

Horse Riding Apparel

The driving safety slogan here in our city is "click it or ticket", it's a reminder for us to always put seatbelt on before driving. It is always safe to follow this safety measures for our own good. The same rules apply when you want to ride a horse. You have to wear the right horse riding apparel equestrian helmets for safety purposes.  I always want to experience riding a horse and make them run by myself.  The only experience I had was riding a horse in Baguio, but he wasn't moving lol.  It was just for taking picture purposes.

We Want...

The topic for this week at Couple's Corner is the things that we want for each other. With seven years of marriage, I can say that I have found the perfect match for me. Conflicts with our preferences arises sometimes but it is not major that we can't handle. Just petty thing s and that is what makes and gives our marriage a thrill.  If you would ask my husband, I think he would like me to be more intimate hahaha.  He also want me to  play more with the kids.  He is always the one playing with them whenever he is home but when he isn't of course I played with them too.  He also want me to be more "maalaga", I am not that type kasi ( I need to work on this).


If you will asks me, I just want him to stay as sweet, supportive, loving, faithful, and supportive as he is now. I hope that he won't change till death do us part.  Cheesy lol!

Progress Report

As I have mentioned on my previous post on my other blog, our daughter had a satisfactory rating in all fields so that was a big relief for me. I am actually very proud of her because even though she did not attend pre-school, she is doing pretty well.  She can now read  sentence with three to five words in it.

For the whole month of September, she  received green light.

Last week, the school  sent  a permission letter for a physical check up to each student.  I was bummed out when the result came because her BMI is only 15 and according to their standard, our daughter is underweight.  How could that be though?  Just a couple of months ago, she also had a complete physical check up from the doctor and the result say that she is healthy.  Hmmnnn.  Our daughter love veggies and fruits and that could be one factor why her body mass index is low.

My baby brother turned 20 years old a couple of days ago. I miss you Nick, Hope I am there and be with you guys.  May God bless you with good heath and good life all through out.  When I left home  five years ago, he was so small like a kid (photo below) but when I came back last year, he was so tall and  big (second photo).

Looking at this photo makes me miss my family, our place, ahhh am being nostlagic lol.

Acne Cream

If you meet me personally, the first thing that you might notice is the dark spot on my face. I had this when I got pregnant with my son. Rain Storm

Weight Loss Pills Option

I talked to my close friend back home through chat the other week. She told me that both of her kids are now in school so she doesn't have a nanny for them anymore. I teased her that she might lose weight because of it but she said that despite of her busy schedule as a full-time employee and a Mom, her weight seems to increase each day. Cotton Balls in the Sky

I took these shots when we went to the Steubenville Mall last weekend.  The sky was covered with cotton ball-like clouds. For the past days, the weather here is  weird, one day it's rainy and then the next day, it's sunny.  One day it's cold and the next day it's warm.  No wonder people are getting  cold because of the sudden change in temperature.

Keep Warm

We had such heavy rain yesterday and today is sunny but windy. I never leave the house without a jacket or sweater on because the temperature can change in no time. I am so glad that my husband bought me a light jacket that I can wear this fall season. It would be nice to have one of those gorgeous and stylish cashmere sweaters too hehehe. Did you guys take out your cold apparel out from your closet yet? I washed all of ours already because we have been having cold weather over here lately.

Mortgage Rates

Our new mortgage payment will start next month.  We refinanced our home a couple of months ago because  the former  rate that we had was 6.25%.  Our monthly mortgage dropped from 700+ a month to a little over five hundred now.  We basically saves from paying too much interest.  Our new mortgage has 4.62% rate so it is better. Although we lost the five years period time that we paid but I think, it's worth it.

Time Flies

Oh boy, time fly so fast.  It is  past eleven in the morning and I am not even done with my tasks.  I would  be cooking lunch  here  in a little while and I fail  my goal of finishing  the articles before that whew!  Wish that my mind is  as sharp as geniuses so I could write these articles in a flash lol..  It is hard to concentrate though when you have a little one who constantly  have high level of energy, saying things and doing stuff around you.   Oh well, it's part of life.

Life Insurance

My mother is only 57 years old but the last time we talked on the phone, she told me that her health condition is deteriorating.  I feel bad that  I am not there for her.  I know that she worries too much about   my younger siblings and I think that is what's causing  her health problems.  How I wish that I could get her and bring her here so she could live with us  but I know that it's impossible as she doesn't want to leave my siblings.  I was browsing form some term rates for life insurance over there but all I can find are rates that are  available  here in the States.   I might have to ask my friend's help on this.

Hoarse

My husband  has a  cold the other day and then it got worst last night.  He has a hoarse voice now and he said that he feels like a hammered dog today. Despite of the condition, he has to go to school.  am glad that  his first subject this morning was cancelled  because their professor is in Haiti doing  volunteer work.   I don't want to entertain what I am feeling but it is getting worse too.  Oh well, I just need to shake this up I guess.

Frustration over image upload

I am having a hard time uploading pictures since last night.  Does anyone experience the same?    It is frustrating when you are trying to make a post of something but  you can't upload the image you want to talk about.  Photo is something that I always  use in order  to completely express what I am trying to say. That is why I paid for the  extra space  in uploading photos but  if things will be like this, what's the point of paying?

Fireplace Accessories

One of my bother-in-law is very good in finding deals, maybe because he has a lot of friends and connection in the area.  Below is the fireplace that he bought from a friend for under a hundred backs.  He put the fireplace at the basement of their house.  He  completed it with some Fireplace accessories and now it looks like he bought a new fireplace.  One of my husband's long-term plan is to finish the recreation room at our basement and  put a fireplace on it.

Magic Towel

We went to the store last weekend and  EJ wanted something  He grabbed one pack of magic towel and thought that it's something that he can play with.  He and Ate had fun with it for a while when they started to soak it in the water lol..
