Cow....Mooo...

Driving to Tomlinson Run Recreation Park takes about 30 minutes from our house so we have a chance to see different kinds of natural beauties including animals on the way. We passed by a farm with cows in it and the kids got excited so hubby turned around and pulled over on the side so they could see them fully. I was happy too since I got the chance to take some pictures hehehe.

Truck Accessories

Now that my husband is officially off from school, the project that has lined up at home has started the other day. He went to the store and bought the posts that he needed for the fence and loaded up in our truck. He dug the holes yesterday with the little help from yours truly and today, him and Dad put all the posts on the holes already.

I am glad that we have a truck that we can use for big projects such as this because it saves us money in getting the materials we needed from the store. My husband is planning to replace some part in the truck so last night he was browsing at the selection of truck accessories at CarID. Emergency

When our daughter woke up this morning, she was complaining that her thumb was hurting so I checked on it and found two bite marks and it has fuss and a little swelled up. So hubby called their pedia to have her checked coz we don't want to take a chance about certain bites, it might be a poisonous one. Will update about it later after we got out from the doctor's office.

Transportation Means

One thing that I missed being in my own country is the ease of going anywhere you want to go because the means of transportation is pretty much available in any way. As long as you have money to pay for the fare, you can pretty much go anytime you want because the there is any kind of transportation available big or small, that is accessible transportation is there. But of course over here, it isn't a problem either if you know how to drive and if you have a license and a car but if you don't have then you are in trouble.

There are however other means like Haymarket Trans and other transportation companies who you can rent or pay to take you somewhere just in case of group event or tours. This is especially convenient during educational tours for students or convention group tours for employees. You don't have to worry about where to go as you have a tour guide and the comfort of the vehicle is there.

champ woke us up

I plan on waking up late today but Champ woke us up early this morning. He peed all over the carpet wahhh, he chewed on his leash and couldn't hold on his pee anymore and released it the so we have to clean the his weewee geez.. Alrighty folks, gotta cook some breakfast now, will try to bloghop in a bit (if I could).

Men's Clothing

I bet, you never saw me post a picture of my husband in suit lol. This is actually my first time to see him in suit, I always see in dress uniform when he was still in active duty but not like this one. Before we left from his last assignment, he shopped for men's clothing online in preparation for his upcoming job hunting here. Well, this one is a practice. He went to the hospital for a tour as a requirement to the program that he is taking in school this term ... which he already switched into something else. But anyhow, don't he look different? There you go friends, my one and only hubby, on the red carpet, I mean in red tie lol. Good night everyone!

Fever Blister

When my daughter got that very high fever, she had this blisters afterwards when fever died down. She really is like her Daddy wen it comes to attributes and stuff, because EJ's fever is much higher than she had but he never got this.

Diet Supplement that Work

One of my closest friends asked me "do you know any diet supplements that work? I told her that I will ask my husband as he is th e one that has experience in using such products and I don't. She said that after giving birth, she find it really hard to get back her pre-pregnancy shape. I told her to try working out but she said that she doesn't have time for it as she is working full time as an office employee.

Sleep Like a Baby

Whenever my sleeping time passed after midnight, I find it really hard to fall asleep unless I take some sleeping pills or I sip some wine before I lay in bed. Do you experience the same? I took some sleeping pills before when I was still in the Philippines but none of them was listed on that website, must have been a locally made medication. But yeah, I will definitely need one tablet after this post, maybe I could sleep like a baby

Now or Tomorrow?

Okay, it is now 1:34 and my back is starting to hurt a little but I still have three tasks to do, should I fisnish it or just finish it tomorrow. Hmmm, lemme think... If I do it now, I could sleep in late since my husband is off from school tomorrow because his finals is over, yay! Hooray for getting and A- hon! Oh well, I think, I'll just finish it now while my house mates a.k.a. attention rivals are sleeping lol.

Becoming a Mom

After atending the mass last Sunday, we went straight to my father-in-law's house, I cooked some oriental noodles and I called my friend Raquel who is five month pregnant to come over ad eat pansit with us. She came over with her husband and I was happy because that was the first time that I saw her bump since she first conceived hehehe. Four months from now, she will be a full time Mom already, this Friday will be the day when she will learn about the gender of their first baby. I am excited to know about the gender too so I can decide what color of Bob Duallie should I get for their baby lol. She said that all of her co-worker in the hospital are guessing that it could be a boy, but let us see. It doesn't matter whatever the gender is, as long as the baby is healthy.

Dose of Exercise

I got my dose of exercise today from three separate sources - a walk with my husband, a walk with my two burritos, and a ran from each dog. Going to my FIL's house, I was into crying mood again (I felt so bad for raising my voice to my daughter). So when we arrived, I asked my husband if he could go for a a walk with me and he gladly accepted the invitation. When we arrived, I took the kids for a walk too then we went home. When we arrived home, I took Champ out and we ran around the neighborhood, then came back. Took Chelsea, ran and came back. I was pretty exhausted after that coz the dog ran me till I was out of breath lol but I felt good. Now it's 1:24 and I am still awake lol..

Irvingia Gabonensis

Have you heard about the irvingia? I've never known about this plant until I read an article about it today online. According to the website, Irvingia Gabonensis is a traditional medical plant in western and southwestern tropical Africa from Nigeria to Angola. This is also known as wild mango or bush mango. The seed of the fruit contain what its called irvingia garbonesis which helps to loss weight. It also believes to lover your cholesterol and blood pressure. But just like any other medication or pills, it also has side effects which includes flatulence, headaches and trouble sleeping.

Stubbornness

Sometimes, my daughter has this attitude that I don't like. She feels like she knows everything already so when I tell her something, she wouldn't listen. I don't like raising my voice to my children because growing up, I really did not like when my parents would yell at me, I'd rather be spanked than yelled at so as much as I could take it, I really don't want to raise my voice to my kids. It's just very hard to control my self when I'm being pushed to my limit and when I do, I always regret it at the end. It makes me feel so guilty. I always end up crying and feel horribly sorry that I did such thing.

Okay weight watchers, here's a good read for you. I know that you probably know about the sensa scam that circulated in the news and on the net. I did not heard about this till now since I am not into taking weight loss products but my husband actually heard about this product. He said that when this product first came out, the rave was all it, that it would make you loss weight dramatically, but it was just all bluffs, meaning a scam!

Dating Canadian Geese

We went to Tomlinson Run last Friday for the weather was warm and it has been over two years since we last visited that recreation area in New Manchester, WV. There are folks that were fishing down at the lake and lots of canadian geese.

These two canadian geese seems to be dating as they were tagging along with each other and when the other one flew, the other followed. Too bad I wasn't able to catch in camera hehehe.

I just need TIME

For the last two visits that my husband I did to my father-in-law's house, my daughter and I cleaned his walls for him. Well, I did not do all of them yet, just the living and dining room walls. Maybe I'll do the guest room walls next time. He called us this morning and said that he is cleaning the ceiling . I took down his big wall clock when I was cleaning his dining room wall which remind me that my house does not have a wall clock yet lol.

Wish I could afford one of this hermle clocks like the ones I posted below, they are really pretty but kinda pricey though. But anyhow, one of these days I would be able to buy the clock that I really like hehehe. I just need TIME! Time to save money to buy the clock that I like, at the right price and at the right time.

EJ Cut his Hair!

The first photo was taken when we first got up from bed. My son jumped up in my lap and wanted me to take a picture of us so I did.

When I was busy making our breakfast, he asked me how does he look like with his new hair cut and I said "What are you talking about?" That's when I noticed that he was holding his craft scissor and a gab of hair on his other hand.

There's nothing I can do but say "Good job EJ, you look great!"

Can this be a trendy haircut for summer? LOL!

Daddy has to do the remedy later on for this hahaha.

Party Invitation

I got a telephone call from a friend the other day, she was inviting me to her daughter's graduation next month. I told her that I am not sure if I could go but it will depend on my children's situation. After what had happen last time, I don't want to jeopardize their health and at the same time I don't want to spare them from from social gatherings like that but let's see.

But anyhow, talking about the party, I do like the table overlay that they use during the party that time. It was so elegant and very presentable. That's one thing I admired about this person, she is very good in putting things together and she is also good in contacting all the Filipinos around the area. She's the reason why there is a Filipino community here gets together every month and does a prayer meeting. She also host Christmas party every year for the Filipino-American families here.

I am planning to host a meme at my Nostalgic Marveling, I am still thinking about it if I will pursue it or not, but if I do, would you participate. It will be some kind of souvenirs or something. Things that would remind you or take you to some memory lane, or it could be a picture (old or new), or just any kind or memorabilia that you have from anyone. I'll reveal it the whole thing when it's conceptualize, right now its just a plan...

Rising Back Up

This is the first month that my husband is officially retired from the service and finances is really different than before especially that my husband is attending school and his pension is the only source of income that goes in the household. But with the savings and penny pinching, hubby and I are doing alright with the budgeting.

One of the investment that hubby and I started for the kids is doing good as of the moment, my husband is planning to transfer it to a much stable and risk-free investment, the certificate of deposit.I definitely support his plan as I don't want the one where my son's mutual fund is invested into right now, where it fluctuates constantly. One good thing about the CD is that you can put it in a lump sum amount for a specified period of time and withdrew it on its maturity date plus the interest.

Prayer Get-Together

We were invited by a filipina friend for prayer gathering last weekend so me and the kids went. She told me not to bring food because she said that she ordered some from the Chinese restaurant and other Filipinos promised to bring some menus to but I brought with us some ginataan (Filipino dessert) anyway. I don't want to go there without bringing anything. Well, I should have listened to her because there were tons of foods in there.

The kids had so much playing with the kids, although they got sick after that gathering which led me to believed that they got food poisoning from there.

All the kids in the photos are half Filipinos and half Americans. After saying the rosary, the ladies had a jewelry presentation from someone who work as a jewlery agent.

I brought my kids at the back porch when we ate our food but we did not last there because it was cold. We just enjoyed the beautiful view and we came back in.

I took this beautiful combination of two trees in full bloom in front of their neighbor's house.

Thank you all for including my children in your prayers, they are feeling better now. Although their appetite are still down but at least they are not sick anymore. Praise God for He is great!

Noble Chic

My birthday and mother's day are close together so hubby is asking me if what do I want for the two celebrations, ahem grins) lol.. Actually, I was browsing right now at the newly store that I found where they sell cute La Martina products and other name brand items such as Gucci, Prada, and Fendi shoes both for men and women. So for those who love Gucci so much, look at the shoes that I found below, isn't that lovely?

That would be so nice to walk around with your Gucci bag and with your shorts on this summer, oh my so comfy! I love the look and the style, and the price? Dress Up Time for Chelsea

My daughter had fun dressing up her favorite doll, Chelsea. I am glad that Chelsea was very nice and she let her do these stuff without making a fuss.

This is now include in her daily routine, dressing Chelsea up everytime she puts on her princess clothes on lol.

She seem to be okay with it but she is also good of taking it off lol.
