I notified some of my friends but those that doesn't have a contact info on their profile, couldn't do anything tell them. We woke up early last Friday because I have doctor and dental appointments. When I brought the dogs out for them to do their business, I was shocked to find snow. We got about one half inch thick accumulation. After that, it's been cold for days, no wonder people are getting sick. There is a flu that is going around in the area. This morning, we have frost wahhhhh..

My Connection or the Blogger?

I thought it was my connection that was acting up yesterday because I couldn't view the photos in my blogs and it was loading so slow. But later on that day, i have found out from another blogger that it was the Blogger website which was having a problem.

Sometimes it is so frustrating when you are doing something online and your connection is loading or moving like a turtle. Nothing could make me more irritable especially if I am trying to finish a task online or paying bills and the transactions keep failing because of the connection difficulty.

Speaking of internet connection, those who live in rural areas can now kicked the old fashioned dial up connection and replaced it with the wild blue high speed internet. I remember when I was still my country, my internet connection then was a dial up and every time my husband would try to chat with me, it would frustrate him sometimes because it was so slow.

Medical Equipment

You might have read the post that my husband have published in his website about his hospital tour few weeks ago. The tour is one of the requirements to one of the subjects he is taking for the nuclear meds program that he is taking this term. But before the said tour, his plan was for us to put a small business facilitating nuclear patients. The said plan was changed because of what he found out during the tour.

The course that he is taking right now would be good if you are planning to put a small business to run to. Say for instance, if you live somewhere in Utah, you could put up a Utah medical equipment business facility where in you will be the one to facilitate the patient and at the same time run the business yourself. But since my husband is not planning to do so, might as well find a program that will give him a job when he is done with school. Need to be practical these days.

Canine Sports

For the first couple of days of Spring, we have been blessed with warm weather which we pretty much enjoyed being outside playing with the kids and with our pets. We had so much fun throwing Frisbee with Champ, he loves it so much. I feel bad for Chelsea because we keep her tied up. She is a runner and we let her loose she would try to run away again. Hopefully we could put the fence up soon so she could run around freely too like Champ.

Champ has so much energy that he could play the whole day with the Frisbee with us.

Home Insurance Coverage

It's funny to think that we have been paying for home insurance every month and when its time to finally make a claim, you have to pay upfront first if your coverage has a deductible. If you you choose the coverage without the deductible then your monthly dues will be high and vice versa. The coverage of yours truly's home insurance has a deductible of one thousand dollars in order to process the claim for the damage this winter, I have to pay a thousand bucks for the cost and the rest will be paid by the insurance.

Isn't that something? Dig this if the cost of the repair is $1000.01 then the insurance company will only pay one cent. So funny isn't it. But what can you can do. This makes me want to check some of the insurance providers like the Insurance Los Angeles, maybe I could find a better provider if I compare prices and coverage. Oh well, wish me luck!

Prepaid Card

I was happy when my husband handed me the mails yesterday because one of the services that he currently uses has a promotion which gives you a one hundred dollar prepaid card if you subscribe to certain programs that they are currently offering. My Weekend Workout

Tomorrow will be my work out day, I have to run in our treadmill again because I feel like I am feeling weak for lack of exercise. I missed my workouts for two weeks now and it just don't feel right. We had a couple of family walks but that wasn't enough to get my energy going. But anyhow, I am determined to really do my workout tomorrow, anyone cares to join me?

Migraine.. please leave me..

I took a pill for my migraine because as soon as we got out from my doctor's office, my head was aching, now I feel like I am spinning. I want to take a little snooze but I have a lot of things to do, write , and check so I will just deal with this headache. Hopefully it will subside.

Alrighty, I got done with my doctor's appointment and went to my dentist. There's a problem with my new dentures so I wasn't able to bring it home. Our physician gave me a new prescription for my migraine because the last one that he gave me knocked me off, I slept for hours after I took one lol. Hopefully this one will work good. It's funny because it said on the instruction that if I feel like committing suicide to call my doctor. What the heck is that all about lol.

Dreaming of Disney Vacation

My daughter is dreaming of a Disney vacation. She said that it would be really really fun if she could sea the Sea World and see the different character that she likes. Home Made Pizza

Okay its five minutes till eleven o'clock but I am still thinking of what am I going to cook for lunch. I am thinking of making a home made pizza for a change. It's been a while since we last made it. what i like about making home made pizza is that its fun to make it with my daughter and both of them love to eat it. So everytime we make it, its always sold out, meaning no left over.

Type of Furniture

When it comes to furniture designs, m husband and I are different. He likes contemporary and modern while I like the traditional ones. I also like rustic furniture as it reminds me of where we live, in country. But even if we have different tastes in furniture, we still agreed to the ones that we picked for our home. I remember when we were still shopping for the furniture of our house, it took us many times in going back and forth at the furniture store before we finally settle down with the one that we really like.

A blessing

Children are the greatest gift and blessing from God. A child can erase all our worries and make our tiresome day into a complete fun moment. Above is the angel of our family, Gracie. She gives us a smile all the time. A child for me is a hope, their innocent face promises new beginning.

Glad it's Spring

I am so glad that Spring has finally sprung. We are spending so much time outside everyday and the kids are having so much fun. We did not put away our patio furniture before we went to Korea so when we came back, some parts of the chair are rusty already. It will take us time before we could have a new but in due time we will hopefully. Our main priority for now is to have our backyard fenced so the kids and the dogs can play safely.

Addiction

I guess my husband is right about telling me about blog addiction. I can't really pas a day without turning on our PC and check on my blog. But can you blame me folks, blogging is so much fun and yes very addictive. But at least, I am earning a little bit from it. I am not just sitting here doing nothing. But anyhow, I still love blogging no matter what lol. How about you, do you call blogging an addiction?

Customized Hats from Tita Chris

When we lost our internet connection for almost two weeks, we spent a lot of times visiting my sister -in-law and she did a lot of stuff to entertain us especially the kids. She taught Rylie how to make personalized hat like the one you see at the photo above. It's great when you have a talent to make or create stuff like custom hats and dresses, how I wish I have that kind of talent. I found a cute style of customized cowboy hat online and I think it realy cute, don't you think?

Frustrating

Hubby has been waiting for his DD214 that he has to sign up for weeks now but he still haven't got it. He made some calls yesterday and find out why and the place where he processed out was shocked that he hasn't receive it yet. I guess they made some calls and finally the person that is handling it called her and said that she misunderstood the one that she's been replaced this month.

She thought that the February papers are done which my husband's papers belong to. So she did it yesterday and emailed it to my husband, when my husband reviewed it this morning, his records are incomplete so she emailed the lady again and tell her to correct it. This is frustrating to us because it is holding us up. My husband cannot get a retired military ID because he doesn't have the DD214. It might hold up his GI Bill benefits too. Oh boy.

On Changing Course

After my husband's tour at the hospital, he changed his mind about pursuing the Nuclear Medicine course that he;s in for this term. Almost all the people that he talked at the hospital said that the jobs available for that field is very scarce and its hard to come by. So after this term my husband is shifting into an accounting course because it is pretty much in demand in this area. I know that he love the program that he's in right now but if he can't get a job for that, it will be a waste of time and money.

The Joy that pets bring

Having a pet is like having children, it's an continuous expense added to your monthly budget. But the joy that they bring to you or family is worth the price. Here are some joyful moments with our pets.

Artist in the Making

It's amazing how in early age, you can already see the different interest in your kids. Our daughter love arts and crafts. She love to draw and design stuff. She told us one day that she wans to be a fashion designer, and then the next day she wants to be a nurse, and the next different again. Although she isn't consistent with what she really wants, I am happy because in her young mind she is already thinking of the future. She can show her arts in different ways such as the one in the photo. She peeled the clementine with a heart shape. Can you see it?

Self Storage

My husband did not sleep right away last night so I stayed up late too just talking to him. He told me a story about a former buddy whom he worked with before in California. He said that one time, they invited him over their home and he was shocked to see how much piled of stuff they have in their house. My husband is not that organize but he doesn't like a pile of mess or an unorganized home either.

Do you agree with me when I say that having too much mess inside a home causes some stress? Yes I feel stressed out whenever our house is getting cluttered even with just the kids toys. How much more if you have a lot of stuff inside the house which makes the spaces of the room so small. If I have those, I would probably store them to one of the self storage places like McFarland & Delano mini storage units in order to free the house from too much stuff.

But anyhow, sometimes it depends on how you perceive things I guess. Some people are okay with mess and some are not. Which is you?

Housing Stimulus

Now that tax season is upon us, there is no doubt that you've heard about the housing stimulus that President Obama has extended in an effort to help our problematic economic system. That's right, it has been extended to April 30, 2010 for contracts and up to June 30, 2010 for closings. The income caps were also increased to $125,000 for individuals and $225,000 for families. It has never been a better time for the first-time home buyer.

If you already own a home, you can still qualify for move-up buyers tax credit. You just have to meet the criteria of living in the property as a principle residence for a minimum of five years with the price being under $800,000.

With up to $8,000 for first-time home buyers and up to $6,500 for move up buyers, now is the time to act. You can get your piece of the "American Dream" and get a tax break for doing so. This offer is only available for a short time more and with the Democrats in control, you may never see a tax break again. I just wish we would have purchased our home a year earlier, then we would have qualified. How did they come up with the minimum of 5 years anyway? With Friends

The day after we arrived from Korea, my close friend Raquel who lives close by my FIL's house invited us over for a rosary prayer in her house. Some of the Filipinas who live in Weirton and Ohio came too, so it was a hit of reunion for us since I last saw them. Of course I ate a lot of Filipino foods lol.

Of course when Filipinos get together, foods are always present.. I mean Filipino foods kaya attack agad ako hahaha.. Sa kakakain ko, dessert lang napicturan ko. Wondering what the blue one is, its biko. The one who made it said that the sufgar she used was very light, so para di maputla, she put food coloring in it lol.

Summer Getaway

I am sure that after the long and harsh winter, some people are planning to go somewhere else and have some fun. I can't wait till the winter finally bid bye bye because I am so ready for summer activities. For the past couple of days, the weather has been very good to us so the kids and I stayed outside most of the time to play. Even the dogs are lovin it.

Would you like it if you could have a getaways to one of the costa rica resorts? I bet you do, I would be in heaven if I would be given a chance lol. My husband has a lot of plans for us but I don't know, it will all depend to the budget situation. It is not really a fancy plan where you go outside the country, it is within the States but hopefully it would be pushed through. But just like what I have said, it will all depend on the budget.

Our St. Patrick celebration

Good evening everyone, how did you celebrate St. Patrick's day? We celebrated ours by going to one of the playground at my FIL's place since we had a beautiful day. The playground was located nearby the woods so we enjoyed seeing birds and other stuff. Then we visited Dad for a while, came back home and decided to visit my SIL. We just now got home. Thanks Chris for the goodies. I'll post some photos that I took next time, I just want to check if I have some comments to moderate before I go to bed. I have been blogging for one year and 9 months now and I am loving it since. Through blogging I have learned so many things just by reading other blog's posts, especially articles like web hosting. Free Quote for our Porch

A contractor came to give us free estimate on the renovation of our front porch. We are not planning to renovate it soon but hubby requested a quote just to see how much do we need if we want it renovated. The quote is free so it didn't cost any. Eventually, we need to have it fixed though because the railing on our front porch is getting tore up and we doesn't like how the whole front porch look like. It doesn't have any curb appeal at all, it makes our house looks like crappy and outdated.
