Alcohol Treatment Houston

Alcohol Treatment Houston
Guest Post By: Tess A.
Alcoholism can be a serious and life-threatening issue which degrades quality of life both for the sufferer and all those close to them. It can tear families apart and build a barrier between lifelong friends. It degrades health, both physical and mental, and can affect how a person functions, whether at work or at home. When alcohol abuse reaches the point where one or more of the above is true, it is time for the individual to seek help in curbing and curing their addiction.
Facilities exist throughout the country to help clients sever their ties to alcoholism. From physical rehab to therapy and counseling, whether group or private, a person can find the type of treatment that is most likely to help in their particular situation. For those in need of alcohol treatment in Houston, the Bay Area Recovery Center is a beacon of hope. It has several different facilities so that the patient can choose whatever type of treatment will be most effective for them.
There are several factors which are of utmost importance when selecting an alcohol treatment center. First and foremost, consider staff. The patient is more likely to make a recovery under the care of experienced and caring staff member, and even more likely to recover when they feel they can trust the staff unconditionally. It is necessary to find a facility that can inspire that level of confidence. Location is also a prime consideration. While it would be nice for the treatment center to be located near the patient's home, these facilities often accept patients from all over the country. The main concern with location is that the patient finds an atmosphere that is comfortable and conducive to recovery.

Champ wants to Blog too

Look who wants to replace me from blogging? It's Chap! Every time I am busy typing on the keyboard, he would try to climb in my lap so he could mess around the keyboard too. Too bad, I am far from retiring into blogging Champ lol.

Steel Buildings

Before I came in the States, my husband told me that I might get bored in their place because it isn't a big city. I told him that I'd be fine and I actually love it here. If you drive around our place, you can see the old steel buildings where my father in law used to work in the steel mill.

Off from School

My husband is off from school today so we will be doing some grocery shopping later and visit Dad. We visited him last night for a few hours but it was so short. We accumulated snow again so it is so cold out. How I wish that winter will be over soon so I could enjoy gardening outside, I am getting tired of being inside the house all the time.

Deals to Save

With the economic crunch that we are experiencing these days, what do you do save in your usual spending? I always look for the ads on the news paper on what is the deal on the local store or go online to check out the deal of the day, so that before we do our shopping, I have something that I can use to save. There are always to save, you just have to look for it.

Frosty

When we reach Pennsylvania last Friday, we noticed the frost on the surrounding. Isn't it amazing how in four different state, the weather is different too. I mean when we left Weirton, all the snow was melted then for our quick lay over in Cleveland Ohio, their ground was covered with snow. Then in Maryland, it was dry like the weather in Weirton, then in Pennsylvania it's frosty. Hmmmnn???? But anyhow, here are some snapshots in PA.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday watching everyone!

Surprise Visit

My husband and I brought the GPS navigating system that we bought last December (my gift for him) in going to Maryland. We also brought with us an address of his youngest Aunt Carol who lives in the said State. He said that if the location is near to where we will pick up the car, we will drop by and pay them a surprise visit. So after we finally picked up the car, we punched in Aunt Carol's address and presto, it is just a mile and half distance from where we were.
It is so nice to meet another relative of my husband. aunt Carol and her daughter Ladonna are very nice and kind. These were taken at the gas station before we finally drove home. Here's Aunt Carol and her daughter with hubby and me.
Sorry guys for the unannounced visit. We hope to see you again soon. Below is a shot that I took of my husband when we got off from the airport in Maryland. A perfect color for Ruby Tuesday isn't it?
May you have a great Tuesday folks.

Unique Gifts for Her

Before we went to bed, my husband and I talked about gift giving last night. His birthday is coming up next month and I asked him what he wants. He said that he just want a new pair of jeans. Then he asked me, what do I want for Valentine's day. I told him that I don't need anything but he insisted that I gotta have something. He said that he found a website that offers unique gifts for her. He said that he already have something in mind what he is going to get but he wouldn't tell me though.

Bad Internet Connection.

I had a really bad internet connection yesterday so hubby called the service privder this morning to find out why such had happen. The technician said that when he ran a test to our modem, he saw a bad sign. So he did some trouble shooting and now it's running good again. Thanks goodness, it is so frustrating when internet connection is so slow or worse.. down!

A New Standard in Mobility

When my husband came home from school during his first day, he immediately told me "You can tell that I am the oldest person in our class." I asked him why and he told me that it's because most of his classmates owns an iPhone. I laughed at his remark but its quite true that most of the young people nowadays owns an iPhone. If I am not thinking about our expenses, I would love to own one because you can basically do usual business that you do in a regular PC like sending emails, watch news and favorite shows, download your favorite music and a lot of stuff.
If you want a new standard service with your mobile, check out the iphone, exchange, cortado. Cortado is the business class of mobile services which will help you extend your mobile services into the next level. You can synchronize your contacts in real time into your iPhone. Cortado's hosted exchange services will enable you to set up your mailbox directly from your iPhone without using a PC. You may test this solution for free through visiting www.cortado.mobi/exchangeforiphone. Then if you like their services, you may try their 30-day free trial without any obligation.

Extension of Home Buyer Tax Credits

My husband and I started doing our taxes online last night and we just saved it for a while since we still have to wait for some of the tax documents that we needed like my income through online advertising and other stuff. We received some of it today like our home mortgage interest information, tax documents from banks and one from a company that I work for. We also checked if we will be qualified for a Home Buyer Tax Credit.
According to the video we have watched (below), a first time home buyer who have lived from their principal residence for a minimum of five years may qualify for a Move Up Buyers. As long as the price of the property is not more than 800k dollars. Personally, I think that this really good for all first time home buyers as well as the real estate industry. Imagine how this stimulus package can help us establish our real estate goals.
This credit was ended last year but it is expanded and extended this year to give more people a chance to get into a real estate industry. So be sure to check out this video and visit the website in order to fully understand the details of the home buyers tax credits.

Proud Momma

I am so proud of my daughter Rylie. she is so matured when it comes to stuff about her brother and her. She helped Dad took care of EJ while we were in Baltimore today. I love you Anak, Mama is so proud of you!
Thanks for the jumper outfit that Tita Dhemz sent her for Christmas!

Beautiful Farm Houses

As I have mentioned in my previous post, driving from Maryland to West Virginia was a bit far so it gave me an opportunity to see gorgeous houses and other properties on the way. I saw one farm house that looks really awesome. It looks like one of those that you can see in real property website like New Braunfels realtors. It is nice to see beautiful properties on the way plus the beauty of the nature itself makes it more satisfying.
Some log cabins are also present on the scene which really gave my husband so much fun while driving because he dream of having one of those log cabin where he could take some time off from the busy schedule in the city. I was laughing because he said "If I get lucky and win a lottery, I would really buy one log cabin or have it built the way I want it." Oh dear, how can he win a lottery if he is not playing at all lol. Well, I think there's nothing wrong about dreaming of something right?
To those married couple out there with kids, do you guys miss the times when its just you and your spouse? Having kids is great but couples need some time off don't you think?

Best Buddies

Sometimes EJ and Champ gets along so well that they are best buddies but sometimes they constantly torture each other lol. I find this very cute when they were both laying together on the floor.
Champ had a scheduled vet appointment today but was rescheduled because me and hubby had to go to Baltimore in pick up the car. So he will be going next week instead. Lately, this is Champ's favorite position. I find it really cute hehehe. He looks like a winner dog when he does that lol.
I am glad that my father-in-law is willing to take care of the children and Champ because I was able to go with my husband in Maryland. There's no way I could have went if it wasn't for Dad because I don't know any dog bording around in the area. So thank you so much Dad! Goodnight everyone.

Mothers are Gifts

Our mother is a special gift from God. Because of our Mom's norturing care, we grew up to be a responsible and loving children to others and to our family. During mother's day, it is our great opportunity to show them our love and care. It's a time where we can pay back all her kindness and TLC to us children. There are great ideas for mothers days gifts at Red Envelope that you can choose from. There are gorgeous jewelry, robes and pajamas, candles, canvas kit, tote, family tree picture frame, ring holder and many more.

Psychological evaluation is a powerful tool which can be used to communicate, comfort, and heal. There is no more powerful tool than knowledge, and Psychological evaluation Texas provide people with the power to unlock the secrets in their own mind. Whether the goal is a diagnosis for a mental illness, treatment for a learning disability, or confirmation of above average intelligence, a psychological evaluation can be nothing short of invaluable.

Buena Noche

Buena Noche or Noche Buena, which is which, I am nhot really sure hehehe. But anyhow, this is what we started our new year with. My sister-in-law Chris was the one who prepared all these. These are the culprit why I got tipsy lol.
Cheese and cracker
My daughter and I love these fresh veggies with smoked ham.
I don't like scallions so I unwrapped it and replaced it with the green bell pepper.
We also love the pork that my SIL baked with sour crout, it was delicious! It was delicious that I forgot to take pictures of lol.

Home Insurance

Our car and home insurance went up last year so this year we are trying to find a home insurance that is a little bit lower than our provider last year. My husband will be retiring in March so that means that the income coming in in our household will be less. We have to find ways on how to cut cost in order to make ends meet. I am glad that thru online sources, we could request insurance quotes for free.

International Eating

Going back from Maryland, we spotted a vietnamese and korean resto on the way but we did not bother to stop because we did not want to caught up with the traffic in Pittsburgh so we just bought some food from FF-chain. But I was craving for rice and other asian menu. It made me even hungrier when I opened my email and saw these terrific Thai ideas from nubella.com. I might try one of this tomorrow. Just click the respective links below to get the reciepes, its free.
Bring a taste of Thailand to the table tonight with flavorful dishes such as Thai Cucumber Salad, Thai Chicken Satay, and Thai Turkey and Rice Salad.

Cutting Tool

When we were half done with our unpacking, my husband tried to put out the boxes during the trash day but the garbage collector did not pick it up. Then he went online and research for reasons why it wasn't picked and we learned that we have to cut it up. So that is what we did after we got done unpacking everything. I am glad that we have box cutter that made the job a lot easier.
