Self-Giving to God

The theme for the scriptures last Sunday is Self-Giving to GOD. "With God there are no endings. Only Endless beginnings!

A priest was asked: "Father, how much should I spend on my wife's Christmas present?" In plain language, the answer was: "If you love her, you know. And if you do not love her, give nothing!" Around Christmas, Mother's day, and Father's day millions are made on our desire to express our affections for loved ones by giving present. (Say it with flowers!) Giving is a symbolic way of saying : "I love you, I'm grateful, I'm sorry, forget what has happened!" expressing meanwhile a whole gamut of feelings in between.

After the mass, the chapel usually serves coffee and cookies for the church parishioner to enjoy but I prefer to mingle with my Korean friends at the nursery. These are taken last Sunday after the mass.

Our daughter love shoes. And being born in the year of the rooster, she wants to match her clothes with the color of shoes too. She found this pair of red shoes at the mall last weekend and she was talking me into buying it but I said no because it was expensive. Our Residential Mailbox

The process of receiving our mail, through the military postal system, is quite different from what I'm used to in our home state of West Virginia. We don't get home delivery on the military installation, we are assigned a post office box. The use of commercial Mailboxes serves its purpose well, but I really miss the convenience of home delivery. Our two kiddoes had a blast watching the pigs and chickens at our place when we were in the Philippines. Before our visit, we showed them the pictures that my husband took of me and my brother when I was bathing my mother's pig. So Rylie immediately told us that she wants to bath a pic g too but unfortunately mama don't have any when we came home. So I brought them to our neighbor's piggery and they really had fun watching them.

Dance Shoes

Our daughter Rylie likes performing for us. We can not wait till we go back to the States and enroll her in a dance lesson. My sister-in-law sent her a ballerina dress together with a Dance Shoes and she's been using it almost everyday. The theme for this week's Mommy Moments is "Let's Play Pretend". My husband is off today so we went to the mall and chill out, I just now have the time to post this..

My daughter love to ride on our back.. She call it carabao ride but she says giddiyap horsey while riding. I was 8 months pregnant with my son in this picture that was taken in our master's bedroom in West Virginia.

Both of them love Kaba-kabayuhan, and they would do it every chance they get hehehe. EJ was 9 months old here.

One of the biggest challenged that we faced during our stay in Korea is the language barrier. It is very hard to shop especially in the local market because you will seldom meet someone that knows how to speak English. We went to the mall when we first arrived because we needed to buy our daughter a mosquito net. There are so many mosquitos here that even now that is getting cold already, they are still around. We asked several sales ladies where the mosquito nets are displayed and she took us into the isle where the ointments for mosquito bites are. How I wish that I have known the brand translation then, it could have been easier for us to find what we were looking for.

These are the photos that me and my husband took when we watched the sunset at our place in Donsol, Philippines (March 2009). It's funny because everytime we go out our house and go somewhere all the kids follow us everywhere we go, so we kind look like having a procession lol.. It's a very good thing for our kids though, they got to interact with the kids there.

My family loves drinking iced tea.

Our children loves this mango juice. They can consume 4-6 bottles (1.5L each) of this every week.

My husband knows that I love drinking fresh cocnut juice so when I came to the States, he looked for a similar juice at the Asian store and found this. From then on, I love it.

Home theater

We've finally decided to replace our old television with one of the new flat screen LCD models. There are so many brands to choose from and features galore. Hubby likes doing his research before making any type of purchase, especially if we're going to make the purchase online.

Yellow Shoes

Oh my I can't believe that it's November already! How did your Halloween goes folks? Ours was a lot of fun! For this week's mellow Yellow, I am sharing my daughter's yellow shoes which we bought in the Philippines. A lot of people are admiring her shoes and at the same time get worried that she might fall wearing it. But Rylie can run around with heels.

I am only 36 years old and I can see some lines of wrinkles around my eyes already. Our fitness equipment

I am thankful that we are going back to our home in West Virginia. This means that I would be able to maintain my physical activity since we have a couple of fitness equipment at our basement.
